700 macbooks… for a school

This is a crazy order for a collection of MacBooks to go in a local school depending on the model and specification these will cost between £524,300 ($997,266) and £1,174,600 ($2,234,204) This is a crazy amount of money for a school to spend on equipment!

The Libyan government has gone one better and decided that the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) foundation was worth the investment and have placed an order for a laptop per school child currently in the system as well as a server for each of the schools in the country.
